DOT Alcohol/Drug Evaluation
Department of Transportation SAP Evaluation
There must be an initial alcohol/drug evaluation. From this evaluation, the Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) must determine if there is a substance use issue and if so, the degree of the problem. From this evaluation, the SAP will recommend some form of education or treatment.
When the education/treatment component is finalized, you’ll be scheduled for a follow-up evaluation. At that time, a determination is made regarding your return-to-work status. If returning to work, you will have to produce a negative return to duty urine drug screen and possibly a negative breathalyzer test. The return to duty drug/alcohol screen must be done by an employer. If you are currently unemployed, we can recommend a third-party administrator to assist you.
*DOT also requires a follow up testing plan
The DOT Evaluation is $450 + class/treatment costs
Employer/union evaluations
If an employee/worker tests positive for alcohol or drugs or has a refusal or has submitted an adulterated urine specimen, the employee/worker must complete an alcohol-drug evaluation by a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP). We assist many companies and unions to get their valuable employees back to work. We work with all unions/card holders such as CCS, ABC, IBEW, ICI, IMPACT and More.
*Most of these evaluations will also include a follow up testing plan.
The Employer/Union Evaluation is $185 + class/treatment costs
pretrial evaluations
If you have found yourself in a pickle and your attorney is telling you that you would benefit from a pretrial drug/alcohol evaluation, we are also certified to do them. Many times, when you are going to trial, a judge likes to see that you have already begun the processes that they would order. Have your attorney contact us and we can assist.
A Pretrial Evaluation is $185 + class/treatment costs
